Hal was the first boy I dated when I moved to Illinois. We went to the stock car races. His folks drove us there and we blasted our eardrums but it was a great time... We liked the same kind of music and we had some good times.
In 7th grade (?) Hal dyed his hair green for St. Patrick's Day. Dude was years ahead of his time. He had a laugh that would make you join in even if you had no idea what was going on.
I too remember the day Hal dyed his hair green. I smoked my first cigarette with Hal behind the junior high multi-purpose room during a Friday night football game. Neither one of us really liked football but it was something to do! Next morning, I looked a little green myself.
