Diane Frooninckx Sweeney

wow! a lot! Went to Univ of IL, then moved to Cincinnati, got MBA from Xavier University. Moved back to Illinois in 1984 so Scott would know that he needed to marry me, which he did on June 1, 1985!! He's the best thing that ever happened to me. Have worked at the same company for 25 years, started out as a buyer and have worked my way up the organization. Have had incredible travel opportunities as part of my job, into Europe, South America and a bit of Asia thrown in. Lucky enough to have Scott join me on several trips, which we thoroughly enjoy. Our passion is our life, and making certain we live without regrets. We go on lots of vacations and spend from April 1 through the end of October on our boat "Passion Place" on Lake Shelbyville. Yikes we hate it when people plan weddings, parties or reunions :) during the midst of summer! We treasure our time on the lake with family and friends, making memories along the way. Our kids are awesome and not in jail. (Last we checked.) Lots of life left to live we hope, and we will do it as best we can.

I loved high school. And although I loved growing up in a small town, I don't want to live in one now. I just don't like having everyone know your business!! But it still feels good to be "from" Clifton. Loved the plays, musicals especially and chambers. Loved being a cheerleader and all of my friends. I know I was probably hard to love sometimes, and people laugh at me today when I tell them that I USED to be a lot more opinionated than I am today! They can't imagine how that might be. I am still very proud of what Miss Mills taught us, and am considered a very good writer within my work environment. My flunk out freshman writing course at Illinois was a breeze because of her, and I aced a 5 hour class with no problem! Thanks Miss Mills.
