Pamela Kay Peeken, 68, of Kankakee, passed away Saturday (March 18, 2023) at Citadel nursing home of Kankakee.
Pamela was born Dec. 23, 1954, in Kankakee, the daughter of James L. and Mattie Burton Kent.
She enjoyed reading thrillers, shopping at garage sales and winning Scrabble. Pamela loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Sarah Peeken, of Kankakee; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Damon Denoyer, of Bourbonnais; one sister, Janice Yohnka, of Chebanse; five brothers, Thomas "Clark" and Sandy Kent, of Tennessee, Ronald "Ronnie" and Annette Kent, of Florida, Rodney and Elizabeth "Beth" Kent, of Virginia, James "Chris" and Patricia Kent, of Idaho, and Michael and Sharon Kent, of Bourbonnais; four grandchildren, Zachary Peeken, Emily Peeken, Devin Denoyer and Dylan Denoyer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and one sister, Patty Boness.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, until the 11 a.m. memorial service, both at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee Chapel.
