Michael George Wallen, 65, passed away at the home he built on Friday, February 12, 2021. He was born on November 15, 1955 in Kankakee, IL to the late George and Gladys Eunice Bunny Wallen.

Michael married Cindy Candler on April 15, 1978 in Bellflower, IL. She survives along with their children, Samuel George Wallen, Andrew Michael (Megan) Wallen, and Carah Michelle (Arin) Haven; granddaughters, Jayda Grace Haven, Amia Michelle Haven, and Clara Rose Wallen; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David L. Wallen.

Michael was a self-employed and gifted carpenter who served the Lord and led his family in faith. He loved his Lord and Savior and pointed others to Him as he stood on God’s Word. He enjoyed camping, canoe trips and nature walks with his family, he loved trees, the laughter and jubilation of children, and especially, good food and coffee.
